About Insurance
I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield. I don't accept other insurance at this time.
If you're planning to use insurance, there's something I want you to have before you decide.
Insurance requires a diagnosis code. That code goes into your medical record and stays there, regardless of how the work goes or how much changes over time. Insurers, future employers in certain fields, and other providers can see it. Some people decide that's a reasonable trade. Others, once they understand it, decide they'd rather pay out of pocket and keep that part of their life private. Both are legitimate choices. It depends on your situation, and it's yours to make.
I understand the financial side of this directly, not abstractly. I went without health insurance for years and made that calculation myself. I also learned firsthand, recently, what it costs when something serious shows up. A $200 session is not nothing.
If cost is a barrier, say so when you reach out. I keep a small number of reduced-fee slots, and I'd rather have that conversation than have you decide before we've even spoken that this is out of reach.
Session fee: $200 Reduced fee: Limited availability. Ask.
After you schedule a confidential consultation, you'll hear back within one business day.
