Rates and Insurance

For many insurance companies (at the moment), I am considered an out of network provider.  Some insurance companies will reimburse you for out of network services.  I can verify your benefits to see if your plan covers out of network services and at what amount. I can submit claims on your behalf.

I am working to become an in-network provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna, Medicaid, and Tricare.  Also, I can work with many EAPs (Employee Assistance Programs).  I cannot accept Medicare at this time, due to current Federal legislation.

Please be aware that insurance companies do require that I submit a diagnosis, progress reports and treatment plans that reveal your personal information, to get approval for future visits, and there is no absolute guarantee that information will remain private and confidential. Also, this information remains a permanent part of your clinical record with the insurance company.  Clients acknowledge and understand that they are waiving their right to confidentiality with respect to records and information requested by their insurance company.

Initial 50 minute Evaluation Session: $80 – $120

Individual 50 minute session: $80 – $120

Couples/Family 50 minute session: $80 – $120

I do offer some sliding scale appointments on a limited basis at the moment.

If you are struggling financially

If you cannot afford my fee and are uninsured, not covered for “out-of-network” benefits, or you have coverage but you cannot use it due to a high deductible or high co-pay, you have several options.

  • Contact your insurance company to get a list of “in-network” providers. In-network benefits are generally higher than out-of-network benefits. You may save money by working with an “in-network” provider.
  • Contact the All Souls Counseling Center at 828-259-3369 or online at allsoulscounseling.org. ASC also provides subsidized counseling.
  • OpenPath Collective may also be able to be of assistance.  You may reach them online at https://openpathcollective.org/cities/asheville/

Cash, check, debit/credit cards, FSA/HSA cards are accepted for payment and is due at the beginning of each session.
